LET'S GO TO DO THE GROCERY!

At the university,we were taught about the difference between teaching English by listening and teaching English by imitation and repetition. It has been an interesting class because it was a new knowledge for me, that I had never seen before. To put the theory into practice, we talked about making a class dictionary with the words that we are learning and activities like making the grocery. Also, we talked about the most appropriate expressions for each situation, needless to say that we always teach with a suitable level for the students.

For teaching the students to make the grocery, we can divide the class into groups, some will be the vendors and the others the buyers. With toy's fruits and paper tickets we can recreate the activity of the grocery.

It would be nice to put a song of food for the students, because they need to learn the new vocabulary.

We can also teach them the answer's expressions like yummy or yucky, yes, I do or no, I don't.

A good idea will be to make a schedule of the meals. The students have to draw their meals into the holes. We can mix this with the days of the week and the hours.

I hope you enjoyed this educational proposals!

THE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

The first class of English literature was surprising. We sat on the tables and talk about how to surprise the kids and capture their attention. I enjoyed making a kind of way so dynamic, because if the university wants to teach me to teach enseñamiento active, you should start by teaching herself this way. We speak of children's stories, the appropriate clothing for the story time on the pitch and the best way to capture the attention of students. So, after this class, I decided to pick the tale of Little Red Riding Hood and propose a number of activities to address the story in the classroom.

***

We can start the class watching a video of Little Red Riding Hood. The best option would be a very attractive and visual video, which were using a simple language for students.

Then we can do the activity of the labyrinth, in which students have to take the red marker to draw the right path of Little Red Riding Hood to her granny's house.

A good idea is to distribute plasticine balls and also, red riding hood molds. That's why the students are going to make the shape of the red riding hood while they entertain themselves.

In addition, we could make a puppet theater, in which students take the characters and be envolved of the story.

Finally, we can be characters, dressing up and wearing masks.

I hope you have enjoyed these educational proposals!
