Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is a sovereign country, a member of the European Union, established in social and democratic state of law and whose form of government is a parliamentary monarchy. Its territory is divided into 17 autonomous communities and two autonomous cities. Its capital is the city of Madrid.
Valencia is the capital of the Valencian Community. The place name of "Valencia" is derived from the Latin term Edetanorum Valentia, which translates into value or strength. The city is located on the banks of the River Turia. It is located on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula, on Júcar and Turia rivers. Today the economy of the city is centered on services, because about 84% of the working population belong to the service sector. Its historic center is one of the largest in Spain, with approximately 169 acres, 10 and due to its historical and architectural heritage and its diverse scenic and cultural sites makes it one of the busiest cities of domestic and international tourism assembly country. Among its most representative monuments are Miguelete, the Cathedral, the Torres de Serranos and Quart, the Silk Exchange, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1996, and the City of Arts and Sciences. Because of its long history, this is a city with many festivals and traditions, among which we would highlight failures.
The Flag of the Valencian Community is the traditional "Señera" composed by four red stripes on yellow background, crowned on blue stripe along the hoist.
